About the Ensemble
The Pan African Choir Ensemble, also known as Pan African Choir Uganda (PACU), is a Ugandan choral performance group under the Pan African Choir nonprofit organization. It brings together both mature and young artists to present African choral music, folk traditions, poetry, dance, and storytelling in dynamic and engaging performances.
The ensemble showcases the wealth of African heritage while fostering cultural exchange and education. Each performance blends music, rhythm, and narrative to create immersive experiences that connect audiences to African identity and artistic expression.

Since its formation, the Pan African Choir Ensemble, nationally known as Pan African Choir Uganda (PACU), has toured extensively across Africa, Europe, and the United Kingdom, presenting African choral music, folk traditions, poetry, and storytelling on international stages. The ensemble has performed in a range of cultural, academic, and diplomatic settings, including notable appearances at major international cultural gatherings such as Commonwealth-related events and other prestigious global platforms.
Through its performances, the ensemble delivers high-energy, immersive experiences that blend choral harmonies, traditional dance, and African drumming, offering audiences an authentic encounter with African artistic expression. Each presentation is designed to celebrate heritage, foster cultural exchange, and connect diverse audiences through the universal language of music and performance.
