The Jason Autism Center

The Jason Autism Center is a vision rooted in love, experience, and hope. It represents a commitment to ensuring that children with autism and developmental differences have access to care, education, and opportunity—regardless of where they are born.

The Origin of the Vision

The dream of the Jason Autism Center was born from the personal journey of the Founder of the Pan African Choir, Simon Yiga, and his family. When his grandson, Jason Matovu, was diagnosed with autism, the family sought specialized care that could meet his unique needs.

Jason was eventually moved to the United States, where he began receiving comprehensive support, therapy, and education tailored to his development. This experience is what revealed what is possible when children with autism are met with understanding, resources, and professional care.

Why the Jason Autism Center Matters

Many children with autism lack access to early diagnosis, therapy, and inclusive education. Families often face limited resources and few specialized services. The Jason Autism Center is envisioned as a response to this gap—bringing structured, compassionate, and professional support closer to home for children and families who need it most.

The center is designed to reflect the level of care Jason receives, adapted to serve local communities and regional needs.

Mission Focus for 2026

Throughout 2026, the Jason Autism Center stands as the central mission focus. Programs, performances, tours, and partnerships during this year are dedicated to raising awareness, mobilizing resources, and building the foundation necessary for the center’s establishment.

This mission emphasizes:

  • Awareness and understanding of autism

  • Fundraising for infrastructure, staffing, and programming

  • Partnerships with institutions, professionals, and supporters

  • Community education and inclusion

Looking Ahead: Establishment in 2028

The Jason Autism Center is planned for establishment in Uganda in 2028. Once launched, the center will:
