Under the guidance of founder Simon Yiga, the committee plays a pivotal role in preserving African musical heritage, empowering communities, and connecting cultures through music.
Simon Yiga’s Story
Simon Yiga founded the Pan African Choir Uganda in 2013 with a mission to preserve and share Africa’s rich choral traditions. Rooted in Uganda’s cultural music heritage, Simon’s leadership has propelled PACU from a local choir to a global movement. His dedication to education, empowerment, and cultural preservation continues to inspire communities worldwide.
Steering the Mission Forward
The PACU board comprises professionals from diverse fields, including nonprofit management, arts education, and cultural advocacy. Together, they provide strategic oversight and ensure that the organization fulfills its mission with integrity and impact.
